Thanks to the TD Parks People Grant we are able to host events in our community!
The program is providing essential funding to support park groups in cities across Canada. Together, TD and Park People are helping to bring Canadians together in parks because they know that when awesome things happen in our parks people are happier, communities are more connected and cities thrive. |

ENA Past Events
Fall Fair - September 21, 2019, 1:30 - 4:30
We held a corn roast and enjoyed one of the hottest days in September! Kids enjoyed a pumpkin craft and face painter, and got to test out our new volleyball net! We were also able to clean up the park as part of the glad cleaning the capital campaign.
Our budget for the event was about $500.

Cultural Diversity BBQ - July 27, 2019 12:30 - 4:30
Over 100 community members joined us to celebrate the cultural diversity of our community! It was a steamy hot day, with lots of time spent in the wading pool and enjoying the free bbq in the shade. The bouncy castle was a big hit with lots of kids jousting to be the king of the castle (and some adults too :)). Thanks to all our community members who brought a cultural desert - from western Canada Nanaimo bars to Syrian Barazek cookies - they were enjoyed by all. Thanks also to the Ottawa Fire Service for stopping by with their truck.
Our budget for the event, including in kind donations, was about $1200.

Springfest, May 4, 2019, 1 - 4pm
The Ellwood Neighborhood Association and Ahlul-Bayt Islamic School hosted a SpringFest at the park located at the corner of Walkley and Albion. We had stewardship activities (park clean up, tree give away, and community plant exchange) and some activities just for fun (barbeque, face painting and lawn games).
The cost of this event, including in kind donations, was approximately $1000.
